A new medium

Sat Oct 17, 2009, 6:15 PM
Those of you watching me - I'm still amazed by how many watchers I have; thank you so much! - have probably already noticed that I have begun to post some of my graphic design work. I'm starting mostly with things that are a couple years old (revamped as my skill has improved quite a lot since then), but little by little I will add newer work.

Of course, since Gimp has been distracting me quite a bit lately, I haven't been beading much that's new or interesting. I don't even have any pipe cleaners right now.

I've also moved again and now live at a farm that doubles as an experiential learning centre. I spend what free time I can walking the llamas and alpacas and wishing I could ride them. Alas, they are not strong enough.

  • Mood: Llama
  • Listening to: my roommates chatting
  • Playing: with Gimp
  • Drinking: chocolate goat's milk

Thank you, too. I'm always happy to meet and encourage other beaders.

Very nice Gallery. (I thought that I had patience with my Pipe Cleaner creations)...your stuff is well thought out.
:iconanabiyeni:
Thank you. I like yours too. They look a lot more solid than mine.

Thanks for the Fave and the :+devwatch:
My creatures are not solid, they are actually hollow. Did you mean to say 'sturdy' or 'strong'?...then you would be correct; they are quite strong, but some people don't like the fact that their positions cannot be changed. They are meant to sit on a shelf and be admired, not played with like a stuffed toy...if only they were strong enough to be tossed around, though... :plotting:
:iconanabiyeni:
Yours can't be posed? That never occurred to me, and since I treat mine like stuffed toys (that's my incentive for making them - I literally toss them in a bin to store them) I can't imagine how to make a fragile sculpture. I meant "well textured" if that makes sense. Still, yours look much more professional than mine and I envy your patience.
